Alexandre Burton
Radar

Composer, digital instrument-maker, researcher, Alexandre Burton's interest for technology stems from a desire to reveal a new form of expressivity, genuinly digital. Minimalistic and sober, his work as based on the writing and organisation of relationships between different medias or techniques.

In addition to ongoing research with the group artificiel and collaborations with other artists, he is currently at work on two compositions for acoustic instruments and realtime processing (a solo clarinet piece commissioned by Jean-Guy Boisvert and a saxophone quartet commissioned by Quasar). His latest installation project Bulbes, received a Digital Musics Honorary Mention at Ars Electronica (2005).
