Caroline Ansink was born in 1959 in Amsterdam. She studied flute and composition at the Utrecht Conservatory. As a composer she works mainly in commission. She received many composition prizes from organisaitons such as Amsterdam Fonds voor de Kunst, Association of Hugarian Musicians and Washington International Competition.She thinks music as a way of communication and she seeks to the integration of music from all ages, cultures and styles.

for saxophone quartet

Waves is a piece made of two large sections organized in a ABA form. The opening is a large slow section with saxophone soprano solo. The second section maily rythmic and frenetic, arrive suddenly. The piece end of a reminder of the first section.
