Quasar is making its American "débuts" with this performance in Seattle. Quasar along with musicians from Seattle will premiere Donald J. Stewart's Emmaus (for saxophone quartet and 9 instruments).

Chosen from a call for scores held by WCF, From another world, written by Peter Blauvelt will also be performed.

Quasar is deeply proud to present for the first time in the USA, Canadian works by Jean-François Laporte, Michel Frigon, Luc Marcel and Claude Vivier,

Jack Straw Productions and Washington Composers Forum present the Transport series of compelling performances by international and local artists, offering a way out of audio gridlock to music’s far horizons. Several of the concerts will present works chosen from calls for scores adjudicated by the performers.
